Duties
We are seeking a dynamic Chief, Data and Data Analytics to join the US Space Force team! As the lead Data Scientist for the USSF, you will play a critical role in the planning and implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions that support the mission of the US Space Force. With your expertise in the data system design and analysis, you will be responsible for evaluating existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending innovative solutions to meet evolving needs of the organization.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Special Sensitive clearance. Position may include additional program security requirements in order to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Incumbent must be willing to submit to mandatory drug testing.
- Experience in an enterprise level leadership role.
- Hands on experience in software engineering, database and or data system design, analytics and AI/ML developmental cycle.
- This position requires the incumbent to be TDY approximately 25% of the time on a commercial or military aircraft. Incumbent is required to perform intermittent temporary duty assignments primarily on a CONUS basis.
- The employee must have a working knowledge of governmental policy and regulations associated with handling classified and sensitive information.
- This position is eligible for telework as availability allows it. Schedule and percentage will be determined by leadership, employee and situation.
