Duties
As senior contracting officer, responsible for and manages the full range of contract management functions including all pre and post award functions on assigned procurement's. Advises the chief and the director in the formulation of acquisition strategies and the division's strategic plan. Provides technical guidance and expert assistance to outside agencies and other contracting officers in the execution of NAF contracts. Interprets policy and provides guidance to customers, colleagues and subordinates. Performs public relations and marketing duties including article publication, and presentations. Interfaces with policy division on procurement policies and procedures as required.
Mentors junior contract specialists.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.
Work experience directly related to the duties described above managing complex, multi-million dollar procurements requiring source selection procedures.
Extensive knowledge of procurement regulations, contract laws, acquisition planning; Government and commercial procurement practices, contract policies and procedures; and knowledge and skill in negotiation techniques.
Possess proven leadership and customer service abilities, and the ability to meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Must possess or be able to obtain Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) II/III in contracting or other applicable professional certification.
Must have excellent organizational skills; be highly skilled in written and verbal communications; especially presentation skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other related software as required.
In addition to the above, highly-qualified candidates will possess the following:
1. Do you possess a Bachelor's or a Master's degree and CPCM, DAWIA II/III in contracting or other applicable professional certification?
2. Do you possess a minimum of 5 years work experience directly relating to contracting for requirements over the simplified acquisition threshold (over $250) utilizing formal source selection procedures?
