This position is located in the Hot Springs National Park Division. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately 11.5 months in pay status, and you will be in a non-pay status for 2 weeks in November.

Duties

Maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related utilities. Assist higher graded staff in performing more difficult assignments associated with carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, roofing and other related trades. Maintain all tools uses in a clean and safe working order and advises supervisor of any observed unsafe equipment and/or working conditions. Constructs, installs, repairs and replaces things such as doors, shelves, supply racks, hardware, frame structures, windows, trim and cabinets using power tools and simple measuring devices (tape measure, square, etc.) Performs painting tasks according to instructions provided utilizing scrapers, sandpaper, steel wool, brushes, rollers, ladders, air and airless sprayers
