You will serve as an OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR, INTEGRATED WARFARE of IMMEDIATE OFC OF CHIEF OF NVL OPS.
Duties
You will serve as an expert consultant on analytic efforts and the valuation of Navy warfare programs and capabilities.
You will support the prioritization and allocation of resources that will improve Navy's warfighting advantages and reduce warfighting risks.
You will develop decision aid models through research analysis to present findings to senior leaders and stakeholders.
You will evaluate analytic tools and their outputs to determine if changes to models or analytic techniques are required.
You will serve as the liaison to stakeholders on analytic efforts and initiate, modify, and provide options for management analytical plans and systems.
Requirements

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Applying professional knowledge of operations research to perform a variety of functions to support Navy Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development, across all phases of Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE); 2) Analyzing data and developing decision-aid tools to support prioritization of Navy's resources; 3) Constructing models as representations of the organization, process, systems, or operations under study; 4) Manipulating models by mathematical, statistical, computer, and other appropriate techniques; 5) Validating and appraising models as applied toward recommendations for strengthening or changing policy, processes, structure, or operations; and 6) Conducting research and assessments in order to make recommendations on the development of guidance or governance that align with current and future force planning and budgetary guidance.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual. Applicants must posses:
Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
