You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT (FLEET MANAGEMENT) (OA) in the PRODUCTION DIVISION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.
Duties
You will monitor and analyze vehicle utilization and maintenance.
You will identify problem areas, develop solutions, and recommend changes in procedures and policies to higher level personnel.
You will conduct studies and analyses to improve vehicles and equipment services.
You will be responsible for short-term and long-term commercial rentals for light and heavy vehicles/equipment.
You will conduct periodic physical inspections and maintenance reviews of vehicles and equipment.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing transportation assistant work involving the management of a large motor vehicle fleet; 2) Providing policy and regulatory guidance on the utilization and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; and 3) Conducting studies and analyses to improve the efficiency of fleet management services.
