You will serve as a ELECTRICIAN SUPERVISOR I in the Electrical Shop, Production Resources Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will plan sequence of operations and work steps for groups of employees supervised.
You assign work to subordinates either by oral or written instructions.
You will resolve working problems and take necessary corrective action to overcome such delays as bottlenecks, equipment breakdown, material and shortages.
You will train subordinates in work methods and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications

Ability resolving working problems and take necessary corrective actions to overcome delays, bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, and material shortages;
Ability inspecting work in progress and completed work to assure efficiency, economy and safety of operation.
