You will serve as a ELECTRICIAN SUPERVISOR I in the ELECTRICAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will plan sequence of operations and work steps for groups of employees supervised. You assign work to subordinates either by oral or written instructions. You will resolve working problems and take necessary corrective action to overcome such delays as bottlenecks, equipment breakdown, material and shortages. You will train subordinates in work methods and procedures.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
