Duties
In this position, you will serve as Chief of Staff, managing SBRC operations, strategic initiatives, and projects while also serving as senior advisor to the Federal Co-Chair for communications, relationship management, project leadership & management. In addition, the position is responsible for providing authoritative recommendations on critical regional development and economic policy issues affecting the operations of the agency and SBRC programs.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Serving as a strategic advisor and counsel to Federal Co-Chair.
Researching, prioritizing, and following up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the Federal Co-Chair, including those sensitive or confidential.
Monitoring information flow and ensure Federal Co-Chair's involvement in a project or the decision-making process is at the right moment.
Assisting with budget proposals and communicate with other federal agencies to ensure reports and budget justifications are accurate and punctual. Providing strategic leadership on high-profile projects and overseeing large, often cross-functional projects or initiatives.
Directly managing and supervising others in the Office of the Federal Co-Chair.
Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you meet the following requirements:
You have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-14 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties:
Managing projects for the execution of strategic plans across an organization;
Analyzing program issues/problems utilizing analytical methods to recommend solutions;
Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate or gain support for an organization's programs and policies; and
Analyzing legislation and relevant congressional activity to track specific issues related to an organization's mission.
