You will serve as a INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE TECHNICIAN in the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery of NMRTC BEAUFORT SC.
Duties
You will be responsible for the completion of Exposure Monitoring Plans for multiple naval activities on geographically disperse naval bases.
You will plan, coordinate and conduct complete sampling evaluations of work operations involving potentially hazardous environmental conditions, and provide written documentation of work.
You will manage equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair programs.
You will prepare instructional outlines and provide technical instruction to Industrial Hygiene professionals, technicians, and workplace monitors on the use of new and technically advanced equipment.
You will gather and analyze data and communicate findings to cognizant Industrial Hygienist.

Qualifications
For the GS-0640-08
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Planning and executing industrial hygiene (IH) sampling surveys to assess environmental conditions and work practices.
Conducting research on a specific hazard or sampling strategy.
Writing technical instructions to address sampling equipment calibrations procedures and to establish maintenance/repair formats.
Utilizing Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System- Industrial Hygiene (DOEHRSIH) and similar data collecting applications and programs.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Researching, coordinating and conducting industrial hygiene sampling surveys assessing environmental conditions in the work place;
Providing occupational safety and health training for all employees in the workplace;
Recording and measuring sample data to track historical work environment trends related to occupational exposure;
Performing routine industrial hygiene equipment maintenance and repair to ensure all equipment is properly working and calibrated correctly;
Writing technical reports regarding procedures, sample surveys, and IH Instructions;
Establishing inventory procedures, stock levels for expendables, consumables, non-expendables, and spare parts.
