This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the FASA Branch conduct in its' day-to day operations of performing analysis and developing integrated reference and solutions architectures or C51, other warfighting mission areas, and capability development.
Duties
As a IT SPECIALIST (ENTARCH) at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Performs analysis and develops integrated reference and solutions architectures for DOD, WMA, Joint Information Environment (JIE), and Command and Control, Computer, Communication/Cyber (C5) Integration (C5I), for Cyber requirements and capabilities development, acquisition and JIE compliance.
Performs systems/service analysis to identify, refine and develop capability gaps and potential capability requirements for Capabilities-Based Assessments (CBAs) based on the Combatant Commanders Integrated Priority Lists (IPLs) and the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Strategic (DRRS-S) analysis to identify potential capability requirements for Joint Staff J6-developed capability requirements documents.
Reviews and analyzes capability requirements and performs architecture development support for the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC), Functional Capability Boards (FCBs), Combatant Commands and other organizations.
Identifies, analyzes, and documents Command and Control (C2), Cyber, Battlespace, Force Protection and Force Application system characteristics such as type, weight, and size, power sources, missions supported, and information exchanges.
Analyzes JCIDS Capability Documents and their architectures for interoperability, integration, performance and schedule.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS -12 grade level in the Federal service:
Reviewing Policies/Methodologies/Procedures to develop and analyze capability requirements, architecture products and support Cyber requirements and capabilities development and acquisition.
Utilizing Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), Planning Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES), DOD Acquisition System (DAS), Joint Strategic Planning System (JSPS)or National Military Strategy (NMS)to support Joint Capabilities processes.
Identifying and analyzing system characteristics in support of integrated and interoperable architectures such as Command and Control (C2), Cyber, Battlespace, Force Protection and Force Application systems.
Developing and presenting briefings, reports and develop position papers to senior management
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
