The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Visitor Services, Retail Division, Administration Branch. The Administrative Support Assistant provides a variety of administrative, clerical and technical support to facilitate administration activities in the Capitol Visitor Center.

Qualifications
You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-08 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position includes:
Extensive experience supporting high level management in a confidential environment;
Using the Microsoft Office suite and other software programs to support and manage administrative activities;
Providing customer service in person, by phone, and online; and
Drafting, reviewing, and editing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Experience with cash handling, and ability to read and understand financial reports
