Duties
This position is located under the Office of Enforcement Programs and Services, Firearms and Explosives Services Division, Federal Firearms Licensing Center in Martinsburg, WV.
The primary purpose of this position is to processes applications for permits and licenses which provide for the legal manufacture, sale, collection and use of firearms.
***Shift work may be required.***
Qualifications
To qualify for GS-11 candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-10.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience include:
Leading a team; AND
Applying comprehensive rules, regulations, techniques and procedures concerning firearms licenses, explosives licenses and permits; AND
Performing analytical and problem solving skills to analyze facts, identify the issue to determine the appropriate course of action.
