This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Fort Gordon is approximately 139 miles east of Atlanta, GA; 80 miles southwest of Columbia, SC; 156 miles west of Charleston, SC; 175 miles southwest of Charlotte, NC; and 127 miles northwest of Savannah, Georgia. Fort Gordon's location is in the Augusta metropolitan area.
Duties
Inspect prospective properties for adequacy standards, determines suitability, and maintains regular contact with property managers.
Conduct studies and surveys of organizational practices and regulations affecting community life.
Perform periodic/scheduled surveys, audits, reviews, studies, and inspections of properties.
Mediate disputes between renters and landlords or property managers.
Discuss status of properties and program updates.
Provide recommendation on new management techniques, regulations, or amendments to improve barracks and dormitory administrative policies.
Participate in the formulation of long-term planning efforts.
Requirements

- The incumbent must submit and sign a Financial Disclosure OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in overseeing various privatization efforts with focus on the family housing privatization effort. Experience in conducting agency housing audits or survey requirements. Experience in performing regular or periodic reviews of local housing management operations. Demonstrated experience in the understanding of acceptable work standards associated with the repair, maintenance, or improvement of facilities, equipment, furnishings, and other housing assets. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: a degree in any major field of study.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
