You qualify for the GS-08 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Review documents and records for completeness/accuracy and follow through to obtain missing or corrective information; Process a full range of recurring personnel/administrative actions or forward requests to HR specialists or other employees when further processing is required; Use online HR resources to obtain information accessible over the internet; AND Respond to inquiries concerning HR related matters and provide other information depending on the nature of the issue. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
