About the Position: Serves as Administrative Officer for the Program Executive Office (PEO), Project Manager Soldier Protection & Individual Equipment located at Fort Belvoir, VA. Responsible for management, oversight of administrative and technical functions that support the Business Management Directorate.

Duties

Provide advice and guidance on administrative procedures and policies pertaining to personnel management; manpower/TDA management and special projects and studies. Reviews all personnel actions involving military and civilians for adherence to regulatory requirements. Executes the organization?s Administrative Management Program. Maintains files on all personnel actions and coordinates actions with appropriate staff or supervisor. Serves as the primary point of contact for all issues relating to manpower, Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA), and personnel strength. Advises senior leadership of information that will impact internal operations or personnel.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advising staff on administrative matters and processes in accordance with established guidance. Providing advice to management on manpower, civilian personnel management matters, training, etc. Resolves problems related to administrative policies and procedures and submitting Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) changes; Managing administrative duties for the organization, such as: conducting briefings, developing reports or internal controls and functions of the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band / grade level position in the federal service (NH-2/GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementManages ResourcesOrganizational AwarenessPersonnel and Human ResourcesPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower pay band or equivalent (NH-2 / GS-11).
