Duties
This is a Career-Seasonal position and subject to release and recall procedures. A permanent career-seasonal position includes all the benefits of permanent employment but does not provide employment on a full year-round basis. As such, selectee will be in a non-pay/non-duty status for at least 2 weeks to 6 months per year based on project requirements or weather conditions. Selectee are guaranteed to work at least 6 months per year but not more than 50 weeks per year, with the work schedule to be determined upon appointment.
Major Duties
Work will be in performing simple and routine work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related utilities, requiring the use of variety of trade practices and tools associated with occupations such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, and other related trades. Collect trash, mow, weed eat, clean campsites, fire grills, clean and service chemical toilets, restrooms/showers and other campground or visitor facilities. Assists in the maintenance and construction of graded and paved trails, trail drainage, trail bridges, and guard rails.
Physical Effort: Works from ladders, scaffolds and platforms and where surfaces to be coated, or the parts of systems worked on are hard to reach that require incumbent to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts, carries and sets up parts and equipment that weigh up to 40 pounds.
Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside where dirt, spray, and fumes are present. Also required to work in inclement weather and/or wear protective equipment and clothing that are sometimes heavy and uncomfortable.

Ozark National Scenic Riverways is located in the heart of the Ozark Highlands of Missouri, in the southeastern portion of the state along the Current and Jack's Fork Rivers. The park features 134 miles of crystal clear, spring-fed rivers that are flanked by scenic bluffs, low mountains, and numerous springs and caves. The area serves as an outdoor recreational paradise offering opportunities that include "jet boating", kayaking, fishing, hunting, and swimming. Hiking and equestrian trails are plentiful in the area.
Eminence, MO: There is limited shopping, medical and dental available. For more shopping, medical, dental and entertainment Salem, Missouri is approximately 40 miles north of Eminence. Summers are hot and humid and winters are normally mild. Working Conditions: Ability to live and work effectively in backcountry areas in close contact with small numbers of people for extended periods of time. Hazardous conditions may exist. Education
There is no substitution of education for experience for Wage Grade (WG) positions.
