The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander/director for all administrative support programs to include but not limited to task management, cybersecurity liaison (CL), and Government Travel Card (GTC). Also serves as liaison with personnel flights on personnel issues and assist in oversight of organization manpower resource requirements.

Duties

DUTY 1: Directly assists the commander/director i!ll the management of all administrative support program functions. DUTY 2: Serves as the resident subject matter expe t for all mandated administrative support programs. DUTY 3: Serves as the organizational point of con ta t and liaison with the personnel flight on military and civilian personnel issues. DUTY 4: Assists in planning, administering, and monitoring manpower resource requirements. DUTY 5: Performs other clerical and administrativ work in support of the office/organization.

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information.
  • TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE PAID.
  • This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program

  • Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

Qualifications

This is a GG-07 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Entry Developmental" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-07 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess quality level experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Quality experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Examples of creditable experience include Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization. 2. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations produce a variety of documents such as letter , reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs. 3. Knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information in a complex security environment. 4. Knowledge of structure, programs and work methods of organization for personnel/manning issues. 5. Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems. 6. Ability to gather, analyze and present fact, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and possess the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines and ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
