You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Analyst in the Commander, Electronic Attack Wing, Aviation Supply Department (ASD), Component Control Section (CCS) of COMMANDER ELEC ATTACK WING PAC FLEET.

Duties

You will oversee the processing of all material requests, issue and stowage of Rotatable Pool (RPOOL) assets, delivery of material to customers and pick up and induction of retrogrades during Swing Shift operation. You will plan work schedules and sequence of operations to ensure the meeting of scheduled and priority assignments that the higher level supervisor establishes. You will adjust work schedules in response to changes in workload by determining time constraints and the availability of personnel. You will assign and review work, ensuring the work output is of acceptable quality and quantity. You will receive requests for material from supported activities. You will processes requests through Naval Aviation Logistics Command Information System (NALCOMIS) to effect issue. You will take action to update records based on receipt of the item from the repair cycle. You will have a working knowledge of local supply program, NAVSUP P409 (MILSTRIP/MILSTRAP) procedures, NALCOMIS and Navy-Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) procedures to edit, review, validate and correct supply transactions. You will have a working knowledge of the major categories of aircraft components, support equipment and material for supported Type Model Series (TMS).

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: monitoring supply chain operations or systems (e.g. NALCOMIS, Navy-Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) etc.) to provide recommendations for aviation supply discrepancies. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
  • Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree; or
  • Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree; or
  • Successful completion of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled; or
  • A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
