About the position: This position will be assigned to HAPS Lounge, Air Force Academy, Colorado.

Duties
Responsible for managing daily operations of HAPS cadet lounge to include funds control, ordering subsistence and alcoholic beverages, as well as inventory management.
Responsible for processing all paperwork related to inventory, purchasing, scheduling, payroll, personal actions, disciplinary actions, performance appraisals, and performance awards.
Provides supervision, training, guidance, and instructions to all employees of HAPS. Implements food handling and customer service training and ensures employees meet all Air Force training and safety standards.
Must enforce safe food handling techniques and sanitation principles.
Required to bartend and provide catering, as well as prepare contracts for catering events.
Assists clients in selecting the menu for the event and provides quote based on estimated food cost and food preparation time.
Answers customer questions via phone, email, and in person to provide them information on menu and capabilities for events.
Ensures employees prepare and execute event properly.
Works in tandem with Cultural Arts and Entertainment Manager and Recreation Specialist to plan and budget for events such as seasonal parties, events in the theater, and outdoor events.
Plans promotional activities, and ensures they are marketed to the Cadet population.
Reviews and endorses daily cash and inventory paperwork before it is turned in to the NAF accounting office.
Reports directly to Arnold Hall Director.
Coordinates and informs leadership of programs and upcoming events.
Manages NAF budget and provides long range improvement ideas.
Maintains equipment listing and schedules equipment preventive maintenance.
Ensures facility is maintained in a clean and neat manner and is secured when not in operation.
May be placed on forced leave during shop closures from 01 June to 31 July.
Performs other. Related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in the following: bar management; cash handling procedures and sales operations such as receipt, disbursement, deposit and use of cash accountability control methods.
Catering operation experience is preferred.
Experience which demonstrates the ability to manage and provide work directions to employees is required.
Requires some experience in cooking a variety of recipes and serving food and beverages.
Must be able to obtain a food handler's certificate.
Must possess skills in dealing with the public and handling customer issues.
Must meet the minimum age requirement for working with and serving alcoholic beverages.
Ability to read, write, and speak-English is required.
Must have computer experience working with programs such as Microsoft, Word, Excel, Power Point.
Must be able to bend, twist, stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40 lbs, as well as move tables and other equipment as needed.
A Local Files Check (LFC) and National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) are required.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
