This position is in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineer Unit Oakland (CEU Oak), located in Oakland, CA. Incumbent will work out of Portland, OR.
Duties
This position serves as a Construction Control Representative with a multi-disciplinary architectural and engineering team. The incumbent will serve as a project point of contact for customers, activity, command, and contracting teams for independent technical reviews, project scoping, field investigation, planning, cost estimating, problem and conflict resolution, scheduling, design production and construction.

- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- The position requires a valid state driver's license.
- Background Investigation is required.
Qualifications
For the GS-11: Applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-10 level in the federal service.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Examples of specialized experience are:
Inspecting a broad scope of construction projects for the repair, rehabilitation, improvement and maintenance of all types of shore facilities.
Interpreting specifications, drawings, and other contract documents to verify the adherence of work to contract requirements.
Engineering aide technician or surveying technician performing work directly related to construction.
Interpreting plans and specifications, inspecting materials and workmanship and insuring adherence to safety requirements as a construction representative
