About the Position: This position provides the employee with full benefits, vacation and sick leave. Duties

Process supply requisitions or material release orders. Inputs data to automated computer system, reviewing and editing output products for accuracy and compliance with regulations. Review packing lists, receiving documents, bills of lading to verify accuracy of stock identification. Review receiving documents to verify accuracy pertinent data. Investigate discrepancies resulting from shipment of erroneous quantities received, unit of measure and price changes, warehouse denials, and other nonroutine discrepancies. Select best sources, conducts extensive and exhaustive searches for information, and extracts and assembles data from files and other records. Review, research, and resolve reports of non-deliveries, losses, damages, discrepancies, and computer-generated rejects.

Qualifications

This position will be filled at the GS-05, GS-06 or GS-07 level. If selected at the GS-05 or GS-06 level, noncompetitive promotion to the full performance level is authorized. If you are a current Army employee, this position will be filled from employees eligible for temporary promotion. The position is temporary not-to-exceed 1 year and may be extended in increments of 1 year. The position may be extended up to the maximum time of 5 years. This position is temporary and may be made permanent for current Army employees only. Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 13 months, if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. or Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement for GS-05: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04). For the GS-05 Level applicants may not be promoted more than 2 grades within the preceding 52 weeks. Experience required for GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Referencing supply regulations, policies and/or procedures to provide supply support to production, shipping or receiving operations; 2) Resolves supply discrepancies by utilizing an automated system to research accuracy of input data; 3) Uses automated supply systems to enter, correct, and/or retrieve recurring reports and prepare other supply documents; and 4) Ensures all shipping documents are complete. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement for GS-06: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). Experience required for GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Analyzing stock histories to resolve difficult and unsolved problems; 2) Preparing status reports for supervisor's review and to detect discrepancies in the reported transactions; 3) Monitoring and entering stock data into various systems; and 4) Retrieving data from various automated systems to respond to customer inquiries. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) or Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. Superior Academic Achievement is based on: (1) Class Standing - Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses; OR (2) Grade-Point Average (G.P.A.) - Applicants must have a grade-point average of either (a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on your official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or (b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.; OR (3) Honor Society Membership - Applicants may be considered eligible based on membership in one of the approved national scholastic honor societies listed by the Association of College Honor Societies (https://www.achsnatl.org/). or Combination of Education and Experience for GS-07: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
