This position is located in United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Departmental Administration (DA), Office of Operations (OO), Materiel Management Service Center (MMSC). The primary purpose of the position is to provide a variety of communication management, program, and administrative functions in support of the MMSC Director and staff.

Duties

Performing a variety of analytical and administrative tasks in implementing the office?s programs, policies, and procedures, including utilizing a variety of automated systems to collect, analyze, organize, reconcile, and report data. Providing a variety of communication management, program, and administrative functions. Conducting limited performance management studies of organizations, functions, and procedures to obtain maximum efficiency of operations. Analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of organization operations, along with the relationships of administrative support activities to such missions.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Time in grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. Specialized Experience: GS-09: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service or equivalent responsibility in the private sector/pay systems that has equipped the candidate with the particular competencies to successfully perform as a Management Analyst. For this position, the specialized experience is: (1) Performing administrative operations, analyzing, and evaluating issues, and resolving matters; and/or (2) Reviewing administrative policies procedures to develop updated guidance. or master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related or Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

For positions with an education requirement, it must be reviewed and certified by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, in order to be credited towards your qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
