The purpose of the position is to perform a wide variety of administrative tasks associated with maintaining and supporting the work performed within the organization. Such work includes functions necessary for the efficient management of an office and ranges from correspondence and information control to ordering and tracking equipment, supplies, and services. This position is located in the Facilities Department of the Sisseton Service Unit.
Duties
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processlng, managing/organizing files and records, designlng forms, and other office procedures and terminology,
Operate various office equipment.
Works and communicates with clients and customers (e.g., any Individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit provides, including individuals who work in your agency or in other agencies or organizations outside the Government) to satisfy their expectations, Committed to quality services.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
Minimum Qualification, GS-05: This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-04 level in the Federal service. Examples include: Basic knowledge of administrative processes such as creating a variety of correspondence in proper formats using word processing programs; maintain manual and electronic calendars to add, delete or change meetings; service as a receptionist or point-of-contact for an office; experience maintain electronic and hard copy files; experience inputting data into an automated timekeeping system; input data into an electronic database for procurement of equipment and supplies.
Minimum Qualification, GS-06: This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal service. Examples include; Advanced knowledge of two or more administrative processes such as time keeping preparing records for processing and billing in an Electronic Health Record system Knowledge of office protocol to maintain electronic records; scheduling for upper management using electronic calendars; respond to complaints from the public; compile information from a variety of sources to prepare reports; prepare and submit supply requisitions according to established rules.
Minimum Qualification1 GS-07: This experience Is related to the work of the position- and equivalent to at least the GS-06 level in the Federal service. Distributes documents to new employees; advises new employees on proper completion of documents and reviews documentations before forwarded for approval; Assists department head staff on new policies and procedures; keeping an updated log on personnel actions, recruitment, resignations, terminations and promotions.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

There are no education requirements.
