This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Intelligence Analysis. As an Intelligence Research Specialist (Senior Intelligence Analyst), you will assist the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis, Group Chiefs in producing, editing, and overseeing the production of both short, and long-term all-source intelligence publications that interpret and explain complex information to policymakers on issues of national importance.
Duties
Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury.
As an Intelligence Research Specialist (Senior Intelligence Analyst), you will:
-Consistently conceive and craft sophisticated, insightful analysis that identifies subtle or hidden patterns or trends across multiple issues or disciplines.
-Initiate and advocate collection priorities across multiple collection disciplines in support of mission requirements.
-Develop and coordinate OIA's program of analysis, coordinating input across branches and helping to author new Key Intelligence Questions on your subject matter.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-15: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as ALL of the following:
-Analyzing and evaluating a wide range of data to produce insightful written strategic-level finished intelligence assessments and briefings.; AND
-Representing your organization with stakeholders at interagency or equivalent meetings.; AND
-Conducting research and analysis and preparing reports on financial networks, sanctions, and economics.; AND
-Mentoring junior staff on designing new methodologies where established methods and procedures are not applicable.; AND
-Using a wide range of internal and external data sources to generate a coherent analysis for use at different levels.
