Audiovisual Production Specialists perform very technical audiovisual equipment support. The work includes most forms of presentation support that are oriented around the Health Care Systems conferencing and venue audiovisual needs. The work produced may also be used for educational purposes. In addition, the Audiovisual Production Specialist must have a good understanding of the medical environment, and a critical appreciation of the applications of their images.
Duties
The incumbent is primarily responsible for the planning, organizing and executing audiovisual presentation production projects. The incumbent will also prepare and operate audiovisual and presentation equipment in conference and classroom venues, implement reception and recording of satellite and video teleconferences and classroom set-up for live viewing of conferences, adapt to new technology as it is introduced for A/V support and videoconferencing, assist clients instructional design of media productions to meet their educational objectives and reach the target audience description, set up and operate lighting and studio equipment as required for each venue or location, assist subject matter experts with script writing for in-studio video products, plan, research and design presentations with subject matter presentation in mind, and general filing of all A/V and presentation support related work-orders, reports, correspondence, records, publications, regulations, directives, and supporting documents.

Work Schedule: Typical Tour: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm These positions support in person events and periodically require earlier morning or later afternoon tours of duty.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 08/28/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: experience in the actual type of work for which application is made. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes directly connected with the production aspects of the field(s) of the position to be filled;

Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Master's or Equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

Physical Requirements: he work is often physically demanding. There will be tasks that require extended walking; standing; bending; carrying of moderately heavy items such as paper stocks and audiovisual equipment. The ability to operate a government vehicle is required for this position. Travel between the divisions, Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), and leased sites will be frequent. The work requires periods of extended bending, stooping, kneeling in order to obtain properly composed medical photographs. The incumbent, alone and assisted, will be required to lift and transport delicate sound and audiovisual equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.???????
