This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Office of Foreign Assets Control, OFAC. As a Senior Advisor, to the Associate Director, Sanctions Policy and Implementation at OFAC, you will be handling a wide range of matters of importance on behalf of the TFI Front Office or TFI components.

Duties

As a Senior Advisor, you will: Support the TFI Senior Official in overseeing projects involving complex and sensitive national security, intelligence, foreign policy, and law enforcement problems for which established principles, techniques, guidelines, and precedents are not directly applicable and often do not exist. Support the TFI Senior Official in representing Treasury within the TFI and in establishing comprehensive contacts. Prepare the TFI Senior Official for speaking engagements. Draft, coordinate, and clear materials, ensuring the goals of TFI and the Department are effectively advanced.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: Specialized experience for the GS-14: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following: Representing an agency or large organization at the executive level to support national security missions and objectives; AND Developing written material for senior officials supporting the objectives of the agency; AND Support national security initiatives by coordinating action items across executive levels and providing support to senior officials; AND Advising senior management on sensitive, potentially controversial issues impacting high-level decision-making.
