As a GRANTS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, you will:
Serve as principal advisor to the Director, Office of Grants Management (OGM), in developing policies, program standards, procedures and guidelines in response to the unique problems and issues in ICDBG, and other applicable community and housing development programs.
Initiate and prepare policy options and recommendations for statutory changes to affect the administration of Native American community and housing development programs and comments on pending legislation, regulations and guidelines prepared by other offices.
Conduct reviews of the Area Office Grants Management in order to ensure consistency in the administration of applicable programs and adherence to program policies in the National and Area Offices.
Reply to correspondence and responds to complex inquiries from Congress, tribes, TDHEs, and others regarding Native American housing and community development program policies and procedures.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Conducting statistical analyses of grant data involving economic, housing, housing finance and/or census variables.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
