Duties

Duties require the use of trade practices associated with landscaping and painting as well as work involving motor vehicle operations. Incumbent performs a variety of tasks involving the maintenance and minor repairs of buildings and associated equipment. Performs minor grounds maintenance to include ensuring entrances and exits are free from debris, sidewalks are clear, and surfaces are maintained according to safety requirements. Performs grass-cutting requirements using riding lawn mowers / garden tractors (from 18HP to 31 HP), push mowers, edgers, chainsaws, blowers, weed-eaters, pruners, etc. Monitors access to the facility and grounds to ensure security is maintained.

Requirements

• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Selected applicant must be able to pass a Medical Physical Examination.
• Must have and retain a valid State's Drivers License.
• High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma

Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner. 3. Demonstrated skills in successfully operating standard tools. 4. Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job.
