ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) serves as the world leader in providing timely, relevant, accurate and actionable geospatial intelligence (GEOINT). NGA's civilian, military and contract personnel evaluate imagery, maps, charts, multiple layers of foundation data - such as terrain, elevation and gravity - and the full spectrum of visible and invisible light in order to help users visualize what is happening at a particular place and time. Our intelligence officers go beyond describing "what, where and when" to revealing "how and why" our work enables decision advantage for our policymakers, warfighters, intelligence professionals and first responders. This NGA position is located within the NGA Support Team (NST) located at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). NASIC is the Department of Defense's primary source for foreign air and space threat analysis. NASIC's mission is to discover and characterize air, space, missile, and cyber threats to enable full-spectrum multi-domain operations, drive weapon system acquisition, and inform national defense policy. Assignment Description: Provides timely, relevant, and accurate monoscopic, stereoscopic, and multi-scopic mensuration of objects and geographic features utilizing all imaging systems (i.e., satellite, ground, airborne) to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) and United States Air Force partners in support of the creation of integrated, predictive intelligence for the air, space, and cyber domains.Provides deep subject matter expertise in the application of advanced photogrammetric and perspective principles to determine dimensional and spatial characteristics of weapon systems, support equipment, and associated facilities; constructs high fidelity 3D CAD models, 2D technical drawings, and specialized CAD-associated applications to support third phase analysis in support of integrated, predictive intelligence for the air, space, and cyber domains. Collaborates with analysts to understand intelligence issues and provides scientific input to support intelligence production. Develops special collection strategies, performs verification and validation of photogrammetry tools and products, and creates customized imagery science methodologies and products to address a variety of intelligence problems. Duties: 1. Apply statistical and quantitative methodologies to photogrammetric imagery and data to refine and improve GEOINT analysis and conclusions 2. Develop, test, and evaluate new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using photogrammetric data and imagery3. Educate customers on availability and capabilities of photogrammetric imagery products, methodologies, procedures, and algorithms to enhance analysis 4. MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Imagery Science, Mathematics, Physical Science, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline that included 24 semester hours in Physical Science and/or related Engineering Science such as Dynamics, Electronics, Mechanics, and Properties of Materials. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A that included at least 24 semester hours in Physical Science and/or related Engineering Science, plus experience that involves extraction of monoscopic, stereoscopic, and multiscopic mensuration of objects and geographic features utilizing all imaging systems, including Computer Aided Design (CAD) applications, or a related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues of principal colors; Near visual acuity of 20/20 or better with or without corrective lenses; Stereopsis ability; Hand steadinessDESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Work collaboratively; Multi-task, perform well under pressure and be a self-starter.2. Understand geodetic and cartographic coordinate systems, along with geodetic reference systems.3. Have a basic working knowledge of ground combat systems.
