THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-Title 5, Position Description Number T5806900 and is part of the WI 115 LRS, Wisconsin Air National Guard.
Duties
Provides technical/administrative assistance to the program manager for the Integrated Deployment System (IDS); Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES), Contingency Operations/Mobility Planning and Executive System (COMPES), Logistics Module-Base Level (LOGMOD-B), Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS), and Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS).
During peacetime and at actual and training deployments, provides staff input and participation in the Deployment Control Center (DCC). Plans and develops deployment training for the wing and units in addition to conducting training.
At the direction of, and in conjunction with the logistics staff, identifies required deployment/redeployment support with the wing staff, serving as the NCOIC of the Redeployment Assistance Team (RAT), Air Mobility Command (AMC), and Air Combat Command (ACC) for the transportation of equipment and personnel. Determines the type and number of aircraft required for mission deployment/ redeployment.
Identifies problems/discrepancies to the Logistics Officer, unit, and higher headquarters functional managers.
Reviews OPLANS, Concept Plans (CONPLANS), Concept of Operations (CONOP), USAF Special Operation Plans, Exercise Plans, and Execution Orders for tasking from higher headquarters.

Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-0346-09 position, you must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices.
