Duties
Serve as a Civil Engineering Technician responsible for developing plans for a variety of projects of considerable scope.
Participate in group conferences as a representative in order to make commitments on matters covered by the organization.
Develop contracts for accomplishment by open-ended areas such as architectural/engineering (A-E) design/study.
Ensure the project meets all technical requirements from the Civil Engineering standpoint.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a requirement to lift less than 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties. Are you willing and able to meet the lifting requirement?
- Appointment to this position is subject to a two year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: a.)Develop plans and designs for engineering projects to ensure applicable regulations are followed in regards to construction; and b.) Determine modifications to building structures, or equipment, or systems in order to ensure construction projects are completed. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
