You will serve as the Advanced Systems Integrated Product Team (ASIPT) Lead in the Mission Engineering and Analysis Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will work with NAWCWD leadership and across the Mission Aligned Organizational Groups to support strategic and tactical objectives for advanced Modeling and Simulation capabilities for the Command.
You will support meetings for coordination, task prioritization, and for Staffing/training/equipping for efforts in support of MAO Groups.
You will coordinate with various security offices and personnel for space/facility accreditation.
You will provide staffing requirements to NAWCWD Advanced Security Division.
You will collaborate with local and PMA representatives and security officers in the development of the Facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
You will be responsible for coordinating the execution of the Naval Capabilities Integration Process (NCIP) and Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) lines of effort by performing mission level analysis of Naval capabilities.
You will use virtual and constructive Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis; Operator-in-the-Loop platform; Sensor and weapons simulators; and Develop Integrated Capability Technical Baselines to inform stakeholder investment decisions.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12/13) or pay band (DP-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an Interdisciplinary Engineer/Scientist. Specialized experiences must include some or all of the following: (1) Demonstrating Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) capabilities; (2) Exhibiting experience working in a multi-level security environment; (3) Exhibiting experience with kill chains, mission wholeness, Integration, and Interoperability concepts; and (4) Demonstrating ability to communicate with external stakeholders, sponsors, or customer events.

0801 Series:
Successful completion of a degree in Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.
OR
Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.
1310 Series:
Successful completion of a degree in physics; or related degree that included at least 24 semester hours in physics.
OR
Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in physics totaling at least 24 semester hours, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
1515 Series:
Successful completion of a degree in operations research
OR
At least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
1520 Series:
Successful completion of a degree in mathematics; or the equivalent of a major that included at least 24 semester hours in mathematics.
OR
Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in mathematics (including at least 24 semester hours in mathematics), as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
1550 Series:
Successful completion of a degree in computer science
OR
Successful completion of a degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
