This position is located in the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Office of Investigations (OI) in the Cyber Crimes Division (CCD).
CCD personnel are involved in conducting or supporting extremely sensitive investigations involving electronic and other crimes directed at NASA's communications systems and advanced technology programs. CCD investigations are international in scope or significance, and involve a wide range of issues affecting the infrastructure of the nation and NASA.
Duties
As a Program Specialist at the GS-0301-14 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to the following:
Leads the specialized equipment and IT software/hardware procurements and acquisitions for the Office of Investigations.
Works with OI (Office of Investigations) leadership to develop and maintain strategic workforce development plans and identifies training needs for staff.
Serves as OI Hotline Coordinator taking calls and deciding the appropriate action from individuals who contact the Office of Inspector General Hotline. Monitors the hotline mailbox, cyber hotline and telephone line for complaints related to NASA programs and operations.
Conducts National Crime Information Center (NCIC), National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS), NASA Online Reporting System (NORS) and other law enforcement database systems for criminal history data in support of investigative activities and operations.
Serves as the designated purchase cardholder, with the responsibility of purchasing supplies, services and investigative equipment.
Serves as logistics lead for senior management meetings, in-service trainings, and conferences.
Manages sensitive investigative equipment and information technology inventory.
Upholds information technology system and training budget specializing in digital forensics.
Manages law enforcement equipment procurement.
Requirements

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply.
To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level.
Managing and coordinating information technology system and software acquisitions tailored to support digital forensics, cyber, and investigative analysis program procurements and acquisitions.
Maintaining information technology system budgets in support of investigative units specializing in digital forensics and criminal and cyber threat intelligence analysis.
Managing and conducting procurements and acquisitions for law enforcement personal protective and enforcement equipment.
Coordinating foreign travel of Office of Investigations personnel to include official passport management.
Experience taking calls and deciding appropriate action from inquires received through a hotline mailbox, cyber hotline or telephone line that can significantly impact NASA programs and operations.
Providing regular investigative support to staff located at all the NASA centers including preparing approvals for subpoenas and reviewing affidavits to support arrest and search warrants.
Supporting investigative operations by using law enforcement databases to interpret criminal history and its relevance for a case.
Maintaining NASA Online Reporting System (NORS) system of records by uploading complaints, referrals and responses to ensure that complaints are properly tracked from opening to closure.
