This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for a broad range of administrative services and administrative management matters to assist with the day-to-day operations of the DSSC front office.
Duties
As a Administrative Officer at the GS-0341-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as the Administrative Officer working closely with the DSSC Executive Officer and DSSC Executive Secretary; the incumbent is responsible for a broad range of administrative services and administrative management matters to assist with the day-to-day operations of the DSSC front office.
Develops, manages, and coordinates compliance with standard operating procedures to support the DSSC front office. Serviced areas include procurement of administrative supplies and equipment, property management, space management, records management, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, parking, mail service, facilities, and equipment maintenance.
Responsible for the oversight and management of the DSSC records management program, ensuring that files are maintained in accordance with standard filing practices.
Provides guidance to operations assistant personnel to ensure synchronized, effective and
efficient facility management operations.
Serves as central control and resolution point for problems involving DSSC facility or building uses and changes; reports necessary facility repairs to the appropriate Mark Center and or DHRA personnel.
Serves as DSSC's primary GPC Cardholder using the purchase card to make official purchases
for DSSC within designated spending limits; performs all program administrative duties to include obtaining required documentation and monthly reconciliations to ensure GPC program compliance.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Effectively communicating orally and in writing with a diverse set of stakeholders;
Ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures for all administrative management matters;
Developing administrative management plans to identify administrative processes and deadlines;
Interpreting administrative policies, directives and instructions in order to provide advice and guidance to staff.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
