Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Trade Regulatory Audit (TRA), located in Long Beach, CA, Boston, MA and Washington, DC.
Duties

In this position you will serve as a Management and Program Analyst located in the Office of Trade (OT), Trade Regulatory Audit (TRA). You will advise management on major CBP/OT mission and administrative programs and performing qualitative and quantitative assessments of OT programs.
This position starts at a salary of $82,830.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $107,680.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $107,680.00 (GS-12 Step 10).
Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection.
Major duties include and are not limited to:
Performing basic administrative processes as required by the role, including submitting and tracking information in OT and CBP-wide systems, organizing and preparing materials relevant to the job role and providing support and information to their supervisors as needed.
Creating various work products, including Excel reports, data analysis, data visualizations, written reports, research products, program materials, and program schedules.
Tracking equipment accountability, workforce management, budgets, cost projections, and usage analysis utilizing various programs to provide management current data, ensuring compliance with new and revised directives, policies, and standard operating procedures.
Assisting in the coordination of activities of sub-office support staff, and providing analytical support on problem definitions, planning methodologies, policies, and procedures.
Planning, conducting, and participating in special studies, personally and through team members; providing advice to managers; and providing assistance to field offices.
Qualifications
Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Conducting studies, analyzing findings, and making recommendations on operating programs.
Making recommendations on operating programs.
Assisting in implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a variety of program activities.
Developing guidance on management evaluation techniques.
Developing manuals and directives covering the administrative aspects of field operations.
