About the Position: Fort Huachuca, Cochise County's largest employee, is a busting hub for three of the fastest-growing missions in Department of Defense: military intelligence, cyber-security and unmanned aircraft systems. Incumbent performs duties as Supply Specialist for Libby Army Airfield Division, US Army Garrison, Fort Huachuca, AZ. Overseeing the supply and maintenance operations of the Airfield Division.

Duties

Ensures physical security of assigned property and supplies and investigates losses, damages, and other situations requiring reconciliation. Serves as the Technical POC and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) acceptor for Libby Army Airfield contracts. Monitors the receipt, storage and issue of supplies and equipment received or transferred. Coordinates with supply specialists, item managers and the contracting office to resolve routine and complex procurement issues for supply support. Places orders for equipment and supplies in the Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) Serves as Government Purchase Card holder for the airfield division. Performs market research to identify sources of supply. Creates purchase requisitions in the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel, may be required up to 5% of the time.
  • May require frequent overtime at unusual times (nights, holidays, and weekends).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain state driver?s license.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing Air Traffic Control (ATC) maintenance supply operations, ordering class IX repair parts; general supply related duties such as maintaining property records, conducting inventories and managing property programs; utilizes systems such as Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA), Government Purchase Card Program (GPC), Global Combat Support System (GCSS-ARMY), Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) and General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contracting/ProcurementInventory ManagementOrganizational AwarenessSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
