Duties
You will serve as Technical Director maintaining a strong connection with the intelligence community and acting as the first line of review for new systems, sensors, and weapons technologies.
You will develop, manage, and oversee the operational requirements and fiscal resourcing of advanced undersea warfare technologies.
You will maintain knowledge of the state of technology and advancements with respect to all facets of submarines and their warfighting capability.
You will provide technical and management direction to a branch unit level organization comprised of military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
You will plan, organize, and carry through to completion analytical studies involving the substance of key naval programs.

- You may be required to work overtime.
- This position may require travel outside the United States.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector advising on the formulation, coordination, supervision, and execution of improvements for submarines. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and/or experience: 1) Operational, acquisition, and/or engineering experience with submarine systems and sensors including some or all of the following; sonar systems, combat control systems, imaging and radar systems, electronic warfare, navigation, communications antennas, and cyber security. 2) Strategic planning and fiscal programming, budgeting, and/or execution. 3) Warfighting or mission requirements. 4) Resolving complex problems or issues in submarine warfighting capabilities, fleet readiness, and acquisition. 5) Ability to quickly review and digest technical information, often at length, and make well-considered recommendations to senior leadership. 6) Ability to analytically assess the warfighting value of developmental technologies and concepts of operation. 7) Working within team environments while leading diverse teams. 8) Communicating clearly and concisely through written and oral communication.
