This position is located in the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Office of Inspector General (OIG), Office of Management, Office of Human Resources Headquarters duty location in Arlington, VA. 

Duties

Implements FDIC OIG policies and programs in accordance with Office of Personnel Management and the Corporation's regulations, in functional areas assigned. Reviews proposed changes in these areas for impact on OIG programs and develops changes as needed to ensure appropriate compliance.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. To qualify at the grade 13 level, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG or GS-12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience planning and administering Federal employee benefits services and programs in at least three of the following areas: retirement, health and life insurance, vision, and/or dental insurance, survivors' benefits, TSP or 401K savings plans, or Flexible Spending Accounts. Experience in providing employee benefits advisory services at a FIRREA is preferred. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
