This position is located in the Farm Service Agency, Office of Management & Strategy, Outreach Office located in Washington, DC.

Duties

Supports the administrative roles of the Director and ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated. Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion. Coaches the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques. Monitor and report on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work to see that the Directors instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality have been met. Represent the office consensus and convey the team lead's findings and recommendations in meetings and dealings with other offices, program officials, the public and other customers.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement 08/28/2023 including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Time in grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. For the GS-14 level:One full-time year of specialized work experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: Providing accurate and timely input on organizational issues to high level personnel through clear, concise, and complete oral and/or written summaries and briefings; Providing administrative and technical supervision to direct reports; AND ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with representatives of public and private organizations, farmers' associations, and others to interpret statutes regulations, programs, and policies affecting them.
