About the Position: This is a Permanent position as a Traffic Management Specialist (JOPES) located on Shaw AFB, SC. Situational Telework Only, Including emergency and OPM prescribed unscheduled telework.

Duties

Provides transportation and traffic management technical advice guidance, direction and input for the worldwide movement of Army units (active and reserve) in support of contingency plans, joint maneuvers, exercises and other operational commitments. Provides transportation related briefings and updates to the ARCENT Staff. Participates in the review and coordination transportation management actions pertaining to use of JOPES, SMS, Transportation Coordinator Automated Information Management System, Global Command Control Communications system (GCCS). Conducts analysis of deployment operations and briefs the CENTCOM Force Flow Conference. Expert on JOPES execution operations and Time-Phased-Force-Deployment-Data (TPFDD) LOI procedures. Trains deploying personnel on the TPFDD LOI with focus on JOPES processes and News Group Operations. As a senior-level USARCENT Transportation Specialist, incumbent manages and reviews multiple movements in support of military operations and training exercises. Develops implements and updates a training program for newly assigned personnel. Updates daily notes for input into the G33 daily report for the CDR and Primary Staff.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Official Government passport.
• This position is a testing designated position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
• Must have successfully completed the Joint Operations, Planning and Execution System (JOPES) course within six months of appointment.
• Must be able to deploy or perform temporary duty (TDY) up to 50% of the time.
