You will serve as a MATERIAL HANDLER in the Installation Support Directorate (ISD), Logistics Division of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.

Duties

You will receive, store, stack, assemble for issue, and issue material and consumable supplies, to include hazardous materials, using manual or mechanized material handling equipment. You will load and unload shipments from trucks and other material conveyances using forklifts. You will use automated material identification equipment such as bard code wands, computer terminals, and laser scanners connected to inventory tracking, and point of sale systems. You will read, interpret, and follow regulations on specialized handling and packing methods and techniques to select and pack hazardous material in appropriate containers. You will organize, arrange, rotate and remove stock in accordance with established procedures to prevent damage, deterioration, and loss. You will ensure safe receipt, storage, and movement of hazardous and toxic substance such as certain types of chemicals, or radioactive material in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.

• You will be required to lift/carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
