You will serve as a Supervisory Production Workforce Specialist in the Production Resources Department, Various Shops Code 300.1 of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will serve as a strategic subject matter expert in trade operations and functions to facilitate the recruitment and retention of a qualified workforce. You will evaluate or interpret Workload and Resources Report (WARR), project plans, resource allocation plans, technical documents and other workload resources to ensure successful performance of trade functions. You will research and identify multi-faceted strategies to attract and retain candidates to specific trade occupations. You will manage administrative operations within the shop, including organizing and participating in recruiting events, oversee interview process, and manage logistical activities associated with integrating new employees. You will study, evaluate, manage, and advise on administrative programs and processes to support strategic recruitment and retention of trade employees.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You may be required to perform site visits aboard ships in dry docks, pier side, or on the shop floor.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating production workforce plans and project requirements to ensure the proper allocation and availability of various trade resources and manpower to maintain production objectives.
