Duties
The position is located within the Office of Partnerships, Expansion, and Innovation, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). The incumbent reports to the Senior Advisor on Partnerships, Expansion, and Innovation and performs a variety of project management responsibilities that advance the priorities of the agency; supports the development and design of new initiatives and partnerships that integrate arts, culture and design into other sectors (including health, transportation, community development, education, among others); and builds federal and philanthropic relationships in service of the broader arts field. Typical work assignments include:
Help to design, implement, and manage short and long-term projects and initiatives; facilitate partnerships with federal agencies and philanthropy; and develop other cross-sector collaborations and programs that serve and support artists, cultural organizations, local communities, and the broader arts sector.
Work with federal agencies to develop new and deepen existing opportunities for artists, cultural organizations, and the arts sector.
Communicate and track the agency's cross-sector partnership work.
Design and manage project plans to align work across partners, cutting across organizational lines, disciplines, and functions.
Establish effective two-way relationships with key arts and culture stakeholders, other federal agencies, and philanthropic organizations; convening groups to explore key issues important to the arts community.
Build internal processes for the agency to engage in partnerships with federal agencies and other entities, and help to set the strategic direction for engaging partners..
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirement:
Specialized Experience:GS-13: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level performing the following duties:
Developing and managing projects, grantmaking, programs, and partnerships that serve and support artists, cultural organizations, and the broader arts sector.
Connecting and building relationships with key arts and culture stakeholders, federal agencies, and philanthropic institutions to support the integration of arts, culture, and design into other sectors (such as health, transportation, community development, education, among others).
Creating and managing project plans, tracking tools, reports, and communication materials for advancing existing and new partnerships.
Preparing oral and written communications to present during meetings, conferences, and other events.
