Duties
Plan programs and align proper resources to manage workload.
Inspect operations, evaluate effectiveness, efficiency and progress to assure schedules are met.
Build budgets and review work methods and manpower requirements.
Complete performance appraisals, midpoint reviews and measure accuracy of performance standards.
Instruct in the interpretation of application of policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires up to 15% travel on business.
- Must obtain and maintain The Association for Operations Management (APICS)/Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Certification within 2 years from date of hire into this position.
- A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the Specialized Experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Supervising personnel while engaged in the utilization of space, manpower, vehicles, material handling and equipment. 2) Managing budget and manpower requirements, 3) Planning programs and aligning resources.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
