About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Research and Development Center (ERDC), Directorate of Resource Management.
Duties
Assist Resource Management in transition and reporting needs through WebFocus and USACE Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
Analyze results, monitor variances, identify trends and recommend action directly to the Director of Resource Management.
Pull reports from the Corps of Engineer Financial Management System (CEFMS) to include 219, Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDTE) Funds , Operation and Maintenance (OMA) funds and Civil Works.
Mentor and teach EDW to Resource Management and ERDC staff.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year trial period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position to complete the Financial Management (FM) Certification Program Level III.
- This is a Term position scheduled to last two years. A term position may be extended to a maximum of six years depending upon the needs of management.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a wide variety of analytical and administrative duties connected with monitoring variances, planning, organizing and directing an integrated system of financial staff services, including finance and accounting, budget, managerial and financial reporting and management analysis, and operating the overall automated financial management systems}. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service DJ-3 (GS-12).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
This position is covered by the Science and Technology Laboratory Personnel Management Demonstration Project at the DJ-510-04 (GS-13/14). In accordance with the Federal Register Vol.63, No. 57, dated March 25, 1998, and employee of the Laboratory Demonstration project must have a current average performance score of 2.5 or above in order to be selected for promotion. All applicants currently employed under a Laboratory Demonstration Project must include their most recent performance appraisal score as part of their electronic resume.
