About the position: This position will be assigned to the 47th Force Support Squadron, Dessert Oaks Golf Course on Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, Texas.. This position is considered Flexible. This position is guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours but can work up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits. Subject to cuts, bruises, sunburn, and irritation from cleaning compounds.

Duties

Ensures pull carts and motorized carts are in place and ready for patron use. Drives golf carts to overnight storage facility every day. Retrieves disabled carts from golf course. Ensures all carts are cleaned and washed prior to overnight storage. Retrieves golf balls from practice range using vehicle provided for that purpose. Washes range balls prior to loading into ball dispenser machine. Inspects all balls prior to reloading procedure and removes defective ones. Drain and clean ball washers. Maintains range areas in clean and orderly condition. In the absence of the Mechanic, performs routine preventive maintenance on golf carts, range-picker vehicle, and ball dispenser machine. Participates in routine housekeeping and maintenance tasks at the driving range and/or golf cart area. Refuels golf carts and range cart. Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
