About the Position: This position is located with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Logistics Activity, CEMVP Logistics Management Office, Millington TN. Duty Location: St. Paul, MN.

Duties

Determine stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs and projected depletions. Conduct physical inventories of a broad range of diverse, specialized items. Coordinate with shippers in resolving discrepancies and prepare and enter receipts into computer system. Review property book record adjustments for accuracy and completeness and performs property book maintenance within multiple database systems. Bar code and prepare property receipts for all accountable property and coordinate with primary hand receipt holders to schedule scanning of property book property.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver?s license.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience with property handling, researching data, pulling reports, fact-finding and ensuring supply support for production. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR I have successfully completed a half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Logistics Management, Supply Program Management, or Inventory Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory ManagementSupply PlanningTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
