You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the Naval Education and Training Professional Development Center (NETPDC).
Duties
You will manage an organizations' website and social media presence including the scheduling and positing of articles, photos, videos,and
informational updates.
You will analyze performance data, work reports, and other information to identify potential improvements in public affairs operations
You will propose communication strategies to leaders throughout the organization based on research and analysis.
You will analyze trends in social media tools and applications to make recommendations and highlight new opportunities.
You will analyze program needs to determine information that is newsworthy, sensitive, or controversial.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a variety of media and communication tools, to include, media relations, social media and community outreach, to reach internal and external audiences; 2) Writing and/or editing written information materials, such as articles, news releases, and speeches to convey information about an organization's operations, programs, and activities; 3) Utilizing software tools and applications (e.g., desktop publishing, photo editing, graphics design, video production, etc.) to facilitate the design, establishment, creation, and operation of public affairs and marketing tools; 4) Analyzing information and trends to identify opportunities in new and emerging media to benefit public affairs and marketing for an organization.
