DCSA is seeking a Chief, Property Accountability and Supply Management to oversee a staff of administrative and technical employees who provide a wide range of property accountability, asset management, supply chain, and other support services.

As a SUPERVISORY INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GG/GS-14 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Overseeing, implementing, and managing property accountability/inventory programs and systems for large, distributed enterprises. Controlling, cataloging, requirements forecasting, procurement scheduling, distribution, and disposal of Information Technology (IT) systems material. Exercising experience with supply chain management regarding requirements, storage, distribution priorities, allocations, transportation, shipping requirements and support management. Utilizing customer service and product knowledge to assess needs, effectively provide information or assistance, resolve problems, or satisfy expectations. Organizing work, setting priorities, and determining resource requirements to include determining short- or long-term goals and strategies, coordinating with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals, and monitoring progress and evaluates outcomes.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
1. Inventory Management- The ability to control, cataloging, requirements forecasting, procurement scheduling, distribution, and overhaul (DX/RX) and disposal of materiel. Executes replenishment strategies to meet enterprise supply planning objectives in order to satisfy customer requirements. Perform inventory reconciliation. Receives, enters, and validates requisition order. Issues material release order to Distribution.
2. Strategic Thinking-Formulates objectives and priorities, and implements plans consistent with the long-term interests of the organization in a global environment that takes into consideration the environment, resources, capabilities, constraints, and organizational goals and values. Capitalizes on opportunities and manages risks and contingencies, recognizing the implications for the organization and stakeholders.
3. Customer Service- Anticipates and meets the needs of both internal and external customers. Delivers high quality products and services; is committed to continuous improvement.
4. Planning and Evaluating- Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors
progress and evaluates outcomes.
