This position is located with the BIA, Office of Trust Services, Division of Wildland Fire and Aviation Management located at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), in Boise, Idaho. Information about the surrounding area can be found at https://www.boisechamber.org/

Duties
Provides support to the BIA Division of Wildland Fire and Aviation Branch.
Produces highly complex audiovisual materials that are technically accurate and styled in a high quality and professional manner.
Conceives, films, produces, edits and designs media projects independently and in collaboration with the Division's Public Information Officer.
Produces original work and creates storyboards, scripts, program treatments, general outlines and live recordings for a suite of visually appealing and mission accurate media outreach efforts.
Plans and designs usable products that contain a blend of camera and video original recordings, and pre-recorded multiple-camera presentations.
Participates in meetings and planning discussions with BIA fire staff, Public Information Officer and the Division of Wildland Fire Management and Aviation Management.
Create published materials to be utilized by federal agencies, states, private contractors, etc for National staff personnel to manage wildland and prescribed fire, use aviation assets safely, and respond to natural disasters and emergency incidents.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
In order to be rated as minimally qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the minimum qualification requirements - please be sure to include this information in your resume. For GS-11: You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples:
Filming, producing and editing audio visual products utilized for public distribution, enhancing original material and recordings through the creative use of music, graphics, titling, and special effects using programs like Adobe after Effects and visual sequencing.
Applying the standards of 508 compliance, ensuring all products, electronic and information technology developed, procured, maintained, or used by the federal government be accessible to people with disabilities.
Utilizing various forms of digital audio and video equipment to maintain pace with technological improvements.

Education: I have completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph. D if related. I will provide a copy of my college unofficial transcript(s) with my application package.

Combination of Education and Experience: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate graduate education. Graduate level education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.

Education
Proof of Education:
All applicants who are using education or a combination of education and experience to qualify must submit copies of official or unofficial transcripts which include grades, credit hours earned, major(s), grade point average or class ranking, institution name, and student name. If any required coursework is not easily recognizable on transcripts, or if you believe a portion of a particular course can be credited toward meeting an educational requirement, you must also provide a memorandum on letterhead from the institution's registrar, dean, or other appropriate official stating the percentage of the course that should be considered to meet the requirement and the equivalent number of units. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable; however, if you are selected for the position, you will be required to produce the original official transcripts.
Pass/Fail Courses:
If more than 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) were taken on a pass/fail basis, your claim of superior academic achievement must be based upon class standing or membership in an honor society.
Graduate Education:
One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
